VOLKSRUST OUTING

Early in the new year a few of us keen slope pilots, got together and went down for some slope flying, these trips include incredable flying in a great part of the country. The evenings around the braai fire , sharing ideas and the days flying events are really special , I can only urge those of our gliding community who have not been on one of the outings to make the effort. The next big gathering at Volksrust is the BlackEagle event in march.

Check out the photos

Just launched.

Zaggi fly-by (just above his hat altitude 2140mtr)

Ventus ready to go

Volksrust below and Majuba mountain in the background.

From beginners to old dogs or should that be old crows fly together.

I cant wait till we go again.

I,ve been to Vloksrust and flown on all sides, but I don't recall the view in some of those photos you have posted! Volksrus is not so high! Where were these photos taken? It looks like a fantastic slope. Please tell us more?
