BERG members participate in F3B 2007 team trials.

Two BERG members (Piet and Evan) participated in the South African F3B team selection for the 2007 World F3B (multitask gliding championship) on Saturday the 2nd Dec.

This is the second time in the short history of our club that members of BERG were selected for a WC trials. (James Shaw was selected for this years F3J WC qualifier.)

14xRC glider pilots that had qualifed in previous events were invited form various club’s in South Africa, but only 10 of the 14 pilots accepted the invitation and in the end only 6 pilots partisipated in the 5 qualifying rounds.

The competition was marred by delays from to onset, caused by lack of helpers, line breaks and emergency repairs to the speed/distance signaling system that was damaged when the high wind blew it over.

The results will be posted shortly.

During the day I managed to take some photographs to up load to the Blog.
